Toolheads

The 300 Blackout case is short vs other calibers for the AR-15 platform. When using Dillon's RT1200 Power trimmer, the window ends up inside the toolhead of a Dillon 550, 650 or 1050 Toolhead.

Dillon 650 Toolhead By Milling the top of a 650 toolhead or 550 toolhead, the chips now can be drawn away, and you can form and trim 300 Blackout brass from new or once fired cases. Both commercial and Military cases can be used in the conversion.

Dillon 650 Toolhead The blue vacuum attachment will not work with the 550 toolheads, there just isn't enough room. An option is to use a wand attachment(can buy separately at Home Depot), and you can drill a large hole to slide over the die. Due to the 550 toolhead size and not being able to use the Blue collar, using the wand attachment will tend to clog more often.

A milled toolhead is NOT needed to load 300 ACC Blackout on a 550 or 650 machine, the milled toolhead is just needed to use with a 300 BLK trim die.

The 550 Toolhead also has material removed under the toolhead so a lock ring has clearance for the indexer. 1050 toolheads, one station needs 1/2 inch removed, milled large enough to fit the blue collar in the toolhead. Currently no 1050 toolheads are being offered.

Toolheads can be bought on the Trim die page.
